The traditional malt whiskey distillation process involved the malted barley being turned over (mixed) by hand using wooden paddles and shovels. The Balvenie PortWood 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a marriage of rare Balvenie aged 21 years in traditional oak casks and then finished in port casks or “pipes”.Kininvie was the third distillery opened by the company in 1990 and produces premium single malt whiskey.
