About this deal

With a seat width of around 45cm, the Hoopla is relatively spacious to accommodate your baby as they grow. How safe and stable is the Chicco Hoopla?

For younger babies, Luci felt that the positioning of the toy bar was a little high and, as such, quite hard for her baby to reach. She would have liked adjustable angles for the toy bar so that it could be positioned closer. Despite this, the toy bar is flexible yet secure, ensuring complete safety whilst your baby plays. The padding material of the Chicco Hoopla is made of polyester. For cleaning purposes, it is recommended to hand wash the product. It’s also not designed to be portable. Luci adds, “It’s not super heavy but it’s a solid piece of kit which you would probably keep downstairs. I would want another basic bouncer upstairs to pop baby in if I had this one.” A basic bouncer can be just as effective as a luxury model and, as most seats only last until six months of age, you'll want to consider how often you will use it and what features you need before deciding how much to invest. Luci’s first impressions of the Chicco Hoopla bouncer were very positive. She noted that it felt well made, with high quality materials throughout as well as generous padding. The bouncer is very stable and sturdy, with a choice of four recline settings to create a comfortable cradle for your baby.Never leave your child unattended – a young baby has little muscle control which can cause their head to flop forward. Bouncers tend to last up to six months (9kg) or until a baby can sit up, roll or crawl. When they start trying to escape, it’s time to stop using the bouncer. Parent tester Luci found her baby to be content and comfortable in the Chicco Hoopla baby bouncer. She particularly liked the soft and cosy insert and continued to use this as her baby grew, adding extra padding and support to her baby’s head. Bouncers often come with different recline settings for babies to rest, relax, play, and interact with an older sibling.

Our tester, Luci, has a five-year-old and a four-month-old who was just two weeks old when testing started. She used each model for at least a week in her busy three-bedroom mid-terrace home. Finally, she marked each bouncer on whether the quality of the seat matched the price tag and, most importantly, whether she would recommend it to others. She scored the bouncer on how easy it was to assemble, reading the instructions to see how helpful they were and timing how long it took to put the seat together. The Chicco Hoopla Bouncer is available in a range of different colours and patterns, whether you prefer a sky blue or stone colour with swirl details, a pink ‘princess’ option, plain grey with multi-coloured insert, or a plain teal choice. When seated, your baby can bounce to their heart’s content in this fully adjustable and padded baby bouncer. The product also features three colourful hanging toys for your child’s entertainment and keeps your baby safely in position with a harness and padded crotch straps.Luci liked the simple, but attractive, design of the Hoopla bouncer with a cosy cushion insert that offers additional support for smaller babies. She says, “The main fabric is more durable but the soft insert makes it feel more baby-friendly. I would keep it in as long as possible.”
