Topaz: Radiant bronze with golden undertones that’s perfect for deeper skin tones; adds a sun-kissed, bronzy glow on fair-to-medium skin tones.

The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed formula is described as having an "ultra-reflective shine" with a "creamy" texture that "applies seamlessly." In general, the texture of the highlighters is incredibly smooth, silky, and finely-milled with frosted to metallic finishes and the occasional more sparkly finish. Note: not every shade is available at each retailer listed below. Those higher on the list have a wider selection. This is the light true gold shade in the permanent line. It’s deeper than and has a much warmer yellow tone than Champagne Pop, which is cooler and more neutral than Prosecco Pop. Opal: A neutral, white gold with universally flattering, soft pink undertones; adds a perfect amount of radiance. I used this highlighting powder every day for five days, applying it in the morning and removing it before bed. In my makeup routine, it was the last product I applied after blush. It comes in one shade, Champagne Pop, a soft gold with a pinky-peach shimmer that's meant to flatter all skin tones. They tend to have a high-shine, more metallic finish and are a stronger highlighter, so they are going to be best suited to someone who likes an obvious highlight over a very subtle one. That being said, with a fan brush and a deft hand, one could certainly achieve a subtler, all-over luminosity as well, but if one takes a typical, tapered highlighting brush, there will be quite a bit of pigment and highlight on the skin. Vitamins A, B, D and E are used to protect against environmental damage, while avocado oil adds suppleness and aloe vera calms the complexion. This skincare formula is designed as a cosmetic enhancement that also fortifies the complexion. Pearl is a soft pearly white. It’s similar in finish to Moonstone but the icy white hue makes it less wearable for warmer skin tones. I find that some shades can emphasize the look of pores slightly to moderately, depending on application. They tend to last between eight to nine hours on me.

Gold Pop (formerly Prosecco Pop): True, ethereal gold, that flatters medium to deep skin tones; perfect for anyone who wants a flash of golden radiance. If I had to sum up my thoughts on the pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors I’d have to admit they’re not my absolute favorite formula of pressed highlighter. Like I mentioned earlier, I prefer the liquid version (which seems to have been discontinued, WHY???😭😭😭). I gravitate toward a smooth and seamless powder like the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter or the highlighter in theBalm’s Will Powder Palette. Some of the Shimmering Skin Perfectors are just too sparkly or thin for my liking. The only one that I’ve tried is Smokey Quartz which I thought I’d love but subsequently returned. The formula was really thin and dusty and I didn’t like how it look on my cheeks. Cruelty-Free and Vegan Status It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage that was easy to sheer out (lighter hand, more feather brush) for less coverage, if desired. The texture was fairly soft and smooth, easily blended on the skin, and sat well on my skin without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture or the look my pores. The highlighter wore well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.

(Some of the brands I normally wear are Alima Pure, RMS Beauty, Armani Beauty, and Clé de Peau Beauté.) I tend to wear cream highlighters more than powder and find that I’m always looking for ways to incorporate more glow. Since my skin can be oily, I don’t prefer anything that looks too frosty on my skin or accentuates the pores around my cheeks.
