Let's just say that this whole story is more a "rodeo clown" than a "rodeo wow" and I'd willingly have jumped off this bull ages ago were it not for the amazing buddy read keeping me hanging on for those metaphorical "8 seconds of hell".

This is definitely not how I imagined this review to go, but I can't bring myself to give this the praise it doesn't deserve. Cue, the hospital scene that made me drop the three stars I was going to give this to the two pityful ones I decided for in the end. No, just no.

flawless is a small town romance set in a fictional canadian town called chestnut springs, following rhett eaton, a famous bull rider, and summer hamilton, rhett's agent's daughter, who is assigned the role of rhett's assistant for the 2 months leading up to the bull riding world championship. it is labeled as enemies to lovers, but i would describe it more like grumpy x sunshine, which along with small town and forced proximity, is one of my fav tropes. I couldn't stand the smut in this book. Sum and Rhett's first time felt so forced and so approximate it gave me no emotion. I didn't feel their compatibility AT ALL, didn't get into it, and actually felt embarassed most of the time. I never in my life would’ve thought that I would find myself reading about a bull-rider and his supervisor falling in love. Especially because of the cowboy/bull-rider aspect to this book! I was never interested in cowboy romances but this one really proved me wrong.

Then all bets are off - and so are our clothes. the ending was so cute though, i loved the scene with willa right before vegas, and it wrapped up in a very sweet way that showed rhett's character development. i think if i hadn't just read done and dusted this would have got 4 stars, but i liked that one better!! regardless i am so excited to continue this series, next up is cade and willa! 🤭🫶🏼 You are not a burden. You are not a waste of time. You are very wanted. And anyone who makes you feel you're anything less deserves Rhett Eaton's fist to their face."
