The extruder is great, but if the build plate is poor, you’re still not going to want to use the machine, and thankfully Elegoo kept the texture PEI spring steel sheet from the Elegoo Neptune 3 here. To only print Elegoo's preselected model would make for a terrible review (naturally they will have chosen something within the capabilities of the machine) so I have chosen to print a torture test. Instead of using V-wheels slotting into aluminum profiles for the motion platform, the SV06 uses 8mm hardened steel rods and LM8UU bearings. The bridging tests are fine and the overhang only shows signs of struggling at 45º, though it still did achieve it. Having used the same sensor setup on the Neptune 3 Pro for a little while I now prefer this for several reasons; it reduces complexity of the print head, provides the system with earlier warning of filament run-out, and holds the filament strand whilst unloading/loading the print head preventing it from quickly knotting your spool of nicely pre-wound filament if you inadvertently let the end of the spool go. Each slice is then extruded in molten plastic by the print head which draws one of these 2D slices onto the build platform before raising the nozzle height and proceeding with the next slice. I personally think that this a great spot for the memory card slot but I prefer the USB port on the side and failing that the rear. The most interesting update is riding on the gantry: a dual gear direct drive that does an excellent job of grabbing squirrelly material like TPU.It's divided into 4 types according to machine conditions: New/Open Box, Good Used, Damaged for fix up, and Damaged. The PEI magnetic platform with good adhesion and the printed models can be easily removed by flexing the print steel sheet.

Elegoo’s simple to use Neptune 3 Pro arrives 90% pre-assembled and goes from box to first print in 30 minutes. This is not a problem towards the top of the machine, however, as the X axis lowers when calibrating the printer for the first time, the support rod which I had passed the wiring loom around becomes further from the gantry. The first thing that I dislike about the Neptune 3 Pro is that it is never truly silent; what I mean by that is that even when it is not printing, there are two fans that are always on, the one in the power supply unit and the one cooling the stepper motor drivers, and this is not needed, the PSU when under minimal load, such as sitting idle is creating next to no power, so this to me is just the sign of Elegoo choosing a cheaper power supply unit instead of one with a PWM controllable fan.The rate of laser power drop is related to the frequency of use, working hours, and working environment. Z-axis dual lead screw + Z-axis dual-motor design with better synchronization increases the accuracy and stability of printing.
