About this deal

This right royal mash-up of mischief and mayhem is brilliantly brought to life by the starry collaboration of David Walliams, Miranda Hart and Rob Brydon. As part of the unit of work we have been focusing on how to use conjunctions to join two sentences together. Children have been using if, but and so. They have all thought of their own animal for the Queen to have and what that animal will do to help her. They will be continuing with their stories next week. David Walliams is fast becoming a global phenomenon in the world of children’s literature – his ability to wow fans is unprecedented with global sales over 14.1 million. Dr Lee Durrell MBE, widow of Gerald Durrell, said: “Ian was an exceptional keeper during his time with Gerry and me at the Jersey Zoo, but it was always obvious that he wanted to do more. Comfortable, lightweight hiking clothes. These PFG shirts from Columbia Sportswear are awesome for this. We're not even going to suggest that there are other books which you might enjoy. We think you should buy this one. I am extremely honoured, and very proud, that all of our hard work over the years has been recognised, but it hasn’t been the work of any one individual, or organisation,” said Dr Singleton, 54, who was born in east Hull and attended Neasden Junior High and South Holderness Schools, at a time when he was more interested in amphibians and reptiles.

find the route, but I’m a city kid, so I had a moment of, wow, I’m all alone out here. Crap. Hope I don’t get lost. As well as being a No.1 best-selling Children’s author, David Walliams is one of Britain's most popular writers and comic actors. This week in English we started a new book ‘The Queen’s Orangutan’ by David Walliams. We have loved hearing all about the orangutans naughty adventures in the palace and destruction that he caused! Added to all this, David’s books have achieved unprecedented critical acclaim: Awful Auntie, Ratburger and Demon Dentist won the National Book Awards Children’s Book of the Year and in France David was awarded the popular Tamtam for Mr Stink and the prestigious Le Prix Du Livre De La Jeunesse for Ratburger, so it comes as no surprise that countless broadsheet reviewers have compared David to his all-time hero, Roald Dahl. The Zoo Atlanta press release states that Chantek voluntarily used sign language to communicate with his caregivers, with whom he developed “close personal bonds.” Chantek could be shy around humans he didn’t know, but he enjoyed playing with the other orangutans at the zoo—particularly a 10-year-old male named Dumadi, who was often seen at Chantek’s side.

The cause of Chantek’s death is not known, but zoo vets had been treating him for progressive heart disease. According to a Zoo Atlanta press release, Chantek had been placed on a low-sodium diet and was regularly monitored with cardiac ultrasounds, blood pressure readings and blood work. But Chantek was getting on in years; the press release states that orangutans are considered geriatric after the age of 35. We have also started a new unit of topic work on artists. As a year group the children decided that they would like to do some work on different artists and techniques. We have looked at the work by Vincent Van Gogh, Wassily Kandinsky, Georges Seurat and Pablo Picaso. Admittedly, she was a retired queen, but maybe that made this human stealing the show even more intriguing. Dr Singleton was one of a team of scientists who, three years ago, revealed to the world a new species of orangutan, the Tapanuli orangutan, named after the region where it occurs, the first description of a new ape species for nearly 100 years.David has proved himself as a dramatic actor in BBC2's 'Capturing Mary' with Dame Maggie Smith, in BBC1's Agatha Christie series 'Partners In Crime', as Frankie Howerd in the biopic ‘Rather You Than Me’ for BBC4, and on the stage in Harold Pinter’s 'No Man’s Land' starring alongside Sir Michael Gambon. He received the Comedy Award at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for his performance as Bottom in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ directed by Michael Grandage. The orangutans in Sumatra are completely wild, but the trek is far more challenging and less suited to someone who’s partially blind, like Tim. Also, you can hike for days in wild orangutan tours with no guarantee of ever seeing an orangutan, though I do believe they have a reasonable amount of success. Huge amounts of land, formerly forests, and formerly habitat for orangutans, elephants tigers and so on is now under the control of private sector companies, so we need to communicate with them, and an OBE I am sure will make that a little easier. Mr Stink, Gangsta Granny, The Boy in the Dress and Billionaire Boy have all been adapted into TV comedy dramas. David’s books have also been made into theatre productions including Mr Stink, Gangsta Granny, Ratburger and The First Hippo on the Moon. It may enable us to raise a few more pounds or dollars here and there from donors that might have been persuaded to give to us because of something like an OBE; it will enable more meetings with senior government levels in Indonesia and I hope it will open up new doors for communication with the private sector.
